2018 Mountain Trail Campers CXV 3.7

This CXV hybrid camper is a compact lightweight off road luxury camper designed and built in Australia by Mountain Trail RV for the premium luxury off road market and Australian conditions.

The CXV was awarded the CTA camper trailer of the year in 2018 but improved with the professional installation of a hide away internal toilet.

At 5.5m in length and 2.4m high (with the suspension aired down), the CXV can be stored in a standard shed while providing all the luxuries of a much larger van.

It comes with an electric awning and a pop top that is electrically actuated. It also has ample storage, solar and 2x100AH lithium batteries for extended off grid camping.

The large exterior ensuite can be easily set up and is provided with a portable toilet and a fibreglass hard floor to keep everything out of the elements.

Key features of this camper which make it unique include:

• An inside toilet which has been installed in a sealed compartment which is accessed via a door and slide mechanism for use or the outside hatch for emptying
• Manual operated air suspension which was selected over the automatic system to save weight and have the benefit of the full length drawers inside under the bed.
• The camper has a 30 degree departure and with the narrow width of 1900mm, it has no trouble getting into those remote off the beaten track campsites
• Suspension components and running gear were upgraded to a heavier duty system three years ago by MTRV to match their larger vans
• The electrical system has two 100AH lithium batteries, Redarc 30amp Battery Management system, 2600W inverter and 645W of flexible solar panels. These were installed in September 2023 with the required air gap and not directly stuck to roof
• Combined diesel water and space heater for heating and two Sirocco fans which work in combination with the large pop top windows for cooling while retaining privacy -
• 125L & 85L water tanks with filter plus a separate stand alone gravity system accessed at the drawbar with soap dispenser and light
• A well designed stainless steel kitchen including a plumbed sink, three burner gas stove, numerous drawers, extended bench space, food pantry and a 95l dual zone fridge
• Interior seating with removable swivel table and four full depth stainless steel drawers, queen size bed with full size pillow top mattress (no set up required)
• A fully enclosed high quality canvas annex with anti-flap kit, skirt, walls with mesh windows and doors.
• For outdoor storage, a MTRV high quality cover (used once) including clear plastic for solar charging and openings for hatches and doors -
• Safety Dave hard wired reversing camera including tow vehicle screen
• Two spare wheels with matching 6 stud 17” alloy wheels, four new Toyo Open Country A/T3 tyres. Original spare under swung front of the axle with an additional removable swing arm tyre mount on the rear bumper bar.
